Carla Lee-Eichenwald, Board Member

What is your day job?  I am a mother of 4 children ranging from age 5-20.

Why are you serving on the Board of the Gallatin Ice Foundation?  I am currently the Secretary on the Board of the Bozeman Figure Skating Club,  but I have children who participate in many of the programs at Haynes Pavilion.  My oldest daughter a former hockey player and current MSU student, teaches in the Learn to Skate Program - Hockey 1,2,3.  My son and second child a Senior at Bozeman High School who has Autism, participates in Eagle Mount skating programs, my third child and daughter, a third grader, is in the Bozeman Figure Skating Club,  And my youngest son, who will begin Kindergarten, is in the Learn To Skate Hockey program.  I am excited to be contributing to helping the community gain a second sheet of ice to further our programs that help children grow and develop their talents.

How do you think the Ice Barn will impact our community?  Skating programs bring communities together to enjoy ice sports on many levels.  In completing a second sheet of ice, as well as having the possibility of a year-round-ice rink, it creates a place for people and families to come together and bond over many sports, competitions, camps, and clinics from organized to recreational activities.  It also creates a place for our community to reach out to other regional communities to have local activities and events that enriches the experience of living in Bozeman.  Additionally, it increases and diversifies economic support for our community.
