The Gallatin Ice Foundation is pleased to host a free showing of the famed hockey film, Miracle, on Saturday, April 6th at the Bozeman Senior Social Center. Mike Eruzione, Captain of the 1980 US Olympic Gold Medal team, will give a brief presentation concluding the movie about his real-life experience playing on the team that changed the competitive game of hockey forever. Doors open at 10:30am and the movie will start promptly at 11am. This is a free event, however we do require pre-registration as there is limited seating.

Miracle tells the True story of college coach Herb Brooks (Kurt Russell) who is hired to helm the 1980 U.S. men's Olympic hockey team. he brings a unique and brash style to the ice. After assembling a team of hot-headed college all-stars, who are humiliated in an early match, Brooks unites his squad against a common foe, the heavily-favored Soviet team. As the U.S. squad tries to overcome insurmountable odds and win the gold medal, the team becomes a microcosm for American patriotism during the Cold War.

Our goal is to bring you events like this off the ice so we can continue to develop more opportunities to offer amazing experiences on it. Slap Shot is presented in part by the support of our sponsor, Brian Chisdak M.D., but also by the kind donations from our community. We appreciate your support as we continue to work towards our goal of providing four seasons of ice to the Gallatin Valley
