Last month we reported that our Construction Committee had been meeting with industry experts to optimize the insulation and mechanical packages to achieve four-seasons of ice in the Ice Barn. On Tuesday, the team was able to get together to define the scope of our next construction phase and put the numbers together. And after getting all of the information on the table, they are projecting 51.3% cost savings (from our original estimates) for Phase III. Long story short, the estimated budget for Phase III was reduced by half without sacrificing quality. We expect to share more details with you very soon, as we are still digesting this information - but wanted to share the good news as soon as we had it.
Kudos to the construction committee, including Dennis Steinhauer, Tim Stefan, Mike Wilkinson, Rob Pertzborn and the various sub contractors, for sharing their time and expertise!
